Dodgers Score Late to Nip Rangers, 4-3
|
Wet weather did not postpone the Los Angeles N (AZL)-Texas (AZL) ballgame.
The Los Angeles N (AZL) Dodgers had to overcome a big game from Texas (AZL) center fielder Dan Morales to leave Holman Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 4-3. Morales went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. Los Angeles N (AZL) reliever Pat Beavers got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Chris Carson was tagged with the loss.
Nate Hendrix helped out the Los Angeles N (AZL) cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder was 1-3 with a walk.
Texas (AZL) manager Danny Rios said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
The last-place Dodgers go to 13-18.
