Milwaukee (AZL) Beats Seattle (AZL), 3-2
|
Fans watched the Milwaukee (AZL) Brewers and the Seattle (AZL) Mariners fight to the finish.
The Seattle (AZL) Mariners got a sterling performance from pitcher Josh Marshall, but the Milwaukee (AZL) Brewers still prevailed, 3-2. Marshall threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Samuel Larkin picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-5 on the season. He struck out 6 and walked 3 in 5.1 innings, while yielding 1 run.
Milwaukee (AZL) used the clutch hitting of Josh Keil to capture the win. The catcher drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Brewers the lead, 2-1. For the game, Keil had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.
"That's baseball," said Seattle (AZL) manager Abramo Reineri. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
The Brewers sit in last place in the Central Division with a record of 13-20.
