White Sox Topple Giants with Late Rally
The San Francisco (AZL) Giants got a superb performance from pitcher Ryan Borstad, but the Chicago A (AZL) White Sox still won the game, 7-4. Borstad threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Shawn Trace earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. His record is now 5-0. The White Sox now have a mark of 23-13.

Chicago A (AZL) used the timely hitting of Francisco Puig to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the White Sox on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Chicago A (AZL) manager Noel Clodfelter.
