Padres Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The San Diego (AZL) Padres withstood a good performance by San Francisco (AZL) designated hitter Javier Chabolla to knock off San Francisco (AZL), 8-7, in 11 innings. Chabolla went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. San Diego (AZL) pitcher Bobby Isom got the win. He's now 2-1. Abraham Cerdan was tagged with the loss. The Padres now have a mark of 18-18.

San Diego (AZL) used the timely hitting of Victor Gonzales to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Padres on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We're playing good baseball. We're playing aggressive baseball," said Gonzales.
