The Arizona (AZL) Diamondbacks trumped the San Francisco (AZL) Giants, 4-3, at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Arizona (AZL) third baseman Mike Martinez was terrific. He was 3-4 with 3 singles. Arizona (AZL) is now 29-15, while San Francisco (AZL) is 18-26.

There was more than one reason the Diamondbacks beat the Giants, but Martinez's big at-bat in the bottom of the first was an important factor. He staked his team to a 1-0 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Martinez.
