Indians Developmental Complex hosted a real pitchers' duel.

The Cleveland (AZL) Guardians got a superb performance from pitcher Dan Gallagher, but the Kansas City (AZL) Royals still won the game, 1-0. Gallagher threw 6.0 innings of 1-hit ball. Kansas City (AZL), at 26-20, holds down first place in the West Division.

The Royals got a big at-bat from catcher Cody Christian. For the game, Christian was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the top of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Kansas City (AZL) a 1-0 lead.
