White Sox Run Win Streak to 9

The San Diego (AZL) Padres got a superb performance from second baseman Carlos Fuster, but the Chicago A (AZL) White Sox still won the game, 5-3. Fuster belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. John Wright picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-1. He struck out 7 in 6.1 innings. John Roche was called on to finish, recording his 7th save.
Chad Burton had a big run-scoring double for the White Sox in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Chicago A (AZL) leading 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Bob Meza and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the White Sox ahead, 4-2.
"We'll keep riding this wave as long as we can," said White Sox manager Noel Clodfelter.
Chicago A (AZL), at 34-14, is cruising.
