The Colorado (GCL) Rockies could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Tony Cotto into a win. Instead, the Houston (GCL) Astros prevailed, 3-1. Cotto came in in relief and pitched to 23 batters. Paul Neff snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-0 on the season. Tony Cotto suffered the loss. The save was Xavier Walls's, his 1st.

Houston (GCL) went up, 2-0, on Chris Parrish's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Parrish hit in the top of the seventh, left Colorado (GCL) pitcher Tony Cotto shaking his head.

"This was a tough loss," said Colorado (GCL) manager Alex Velasquez. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."

Houston (GCL) sits at 5-2 in the early going.
