Blue Jays Scratch Out 2-1 Win
In a tight game between the Minnesota (GCL) Twins and the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays, nobody was more important for the winners than Juan de la Pena. de la Pena was masterful in the 2-1 win. The winner in relief was Danny Miranda. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The win takes Toronto (GCL) to 2-5.

Had de la Pena not come through in the bottom of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, de la Pena hit a run-scoring single. The Blue Jays took the lead, 2-1, and never looked back.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Blue Jays manager Manny Miranda. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
