Baltimore (GCL) Orioles starter David Diaz turned in a top-notch performance against the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays at Ed Smith Stadium. The result was a win for the Orioles, 10-2. Baltimore (GCL) is now 27-10, Toronto (GCL) 16-21.

The Blue Jays had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Orioles going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old shortstop Roy Baranick came to the plate. Baranick hit a 2-run triple on a 0-1 cutter from Toronto (GCL) hurler Tomas Arreguin. It was Baranick's 4th triple of the year.

"Not the preferred outcome," Toronto (GCL) manager Justin Ammons said, when asked afterward about the game.
