Getting a good performance from second baseman Curt Lowe, the Colorado (GCL) Rockies defeated the New York N (GCL) Mets, 7-3. Lowe was 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Rockies. Melvin Chavez was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. Colorado (GCL) is now 7-6.

Lowe had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Joe Swenson, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Rockies a 6-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Lowe.

In comments to the Colorado (GCL) Herald, Lowe admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
