Red Sox Beat Visiting Tigers, 3-0
The Boston (GCL) Red Sox downed the Detroit (GCL) Tigers, 3-0, at JetBlue Park. Stellar pitching by Jose Robles had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the GCL in wins with 4, handcuffed his opponent all game. Robles yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 0, and struck out 8. His record improves to 4-2. The Red Sox are now 24-21, while the Tigers fall to 21-24.

The Tigers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Red Sox going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old shortstop John Ure came to the plate. Ure hit a 3-run home run on a first pitch fastball from Detroit (GCL) hurler Elijah Moore. It was Ure's 2nd home run of the year.

"Jose can bring it," said Boston (GCL) manager Jose Marrufo.
