Schroeder Lifts Astros to 8-5 Win
The Houston (GCL) Astros powered past the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays, 8-5, at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium. Jason Schroeder provided some of the pop. He was 4-4 with a triple, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3. Houston (GCL) reliever Luis Romo picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Mike Aguilar absorbed the loss. With the win over Toronto (GCL), the Astros improved to 13-4.

Schroeder had a key at-bat for Houston (GCL) in the top of the second. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and gave Houston (GCL) an early 1-0 lead.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Edgardo Avalos said.
