Ambriz Helps Pirates Beat Blue Jays, 9-4
At Florida Auto Exchange Stadium, the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays and Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Pittsburgh (GCL) second baseman Greg Ambriz had a 5-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays, 9-4. Alex Montanez, the winner, is now 1-1. He struck out 8 and walked 0 over 5 innings, while allowing no runs on 5 hits.

With Pittsburgh (GCL) leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Ambriz hit a changeup from Gus Alba for a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Pirates ahead, 3-0.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Ambriz. "I think we're going to keep proving that."

The Pirates raised their record to 8-12.
