The home crowd had a good time watching the Washington (GCL) Nationals and St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals get after it.

The St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals soundly defeated the Washington (GCL) Nationals, 11-2, at Roger Dean Stadium. Eddy Malave let his bat do the talking. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for St. Louis (GCL). Tony Castro, credited with the win, is now 2-2. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 9 innings.

Seth Kroc swatted a 3-run home run for St. Louis (GCL) in the bottom of the second. The shortstop went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.
