The 4-RBI night of center fielder Tony Rivas, who is rated as the 11th best prospect by BNN, helped the St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals triumph, 14-5, over the New York A (GCL) Yankees. Breyln Richards, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-2. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 6. Getting the save was Luis Quezada, his 4th.

St. Louis (GCL) used a clutch at-bat from Josh Brown to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Cardinals ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
