New York N (GCL) Mets starter Juan Martinez was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Tampa Bay (GCL) Rays, 6-3. Dennis Crean notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 2-2. With the win, New York N (GCL) upped its record to 17-10.

New York N (GCL) used a timely hit from Sergio Herrera to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Mets ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"There's no victory at bargain basement prices," Herrera told a reporter after the game.
