Not everyone stuck through the 55-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

The Colorado (GCL) Rockies went home winners at Mosquitos Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Tony Cotto. Cotto stifled the New York A (GCL) Yankees, enabling Colorado (GCL) to grab the 5-0 win. Colorado (GCL) reliever Tony Cotto got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Jim Unknown was tagged with the loss.

Willie Ponce dealt the Yankees a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and Colorado (GCL) leading 1-0, Ponce hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"Tony is one tough hombre," said Colorado (GCL) manager Alex Velasquez.

Colorado (GCL) has a record of 14-13, placing them second in the Northwest Division.
