McGhin 4-4, Leads Pirates to Win
The exploits of shortstop Jason McGhin, who is tied for 6th in the GCL in stolen bases with 6, helped the Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates defeat the Washington (GCL) Nationals, 5-0. McGhin was 4-4 with 4 singles. He scored 3 runs. Pittsburgh (GCL) reliever Elias Sanchez picked up the win, raising his record to 5-3. Arturo Ramos was tagged with the loss. At 15-13, the Pirates find themselves in third place in the Northwest Division.

In the top of the second, with the game still scoreless, McGhin hit a run-scoring single to put his team in the lead.

McGhin said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.
