Detroit (GCL) starter Mike DeRieux pitched well against the New York A (GCL) Yankees at Joker Marchant Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Detroit (GCL) reliever Robby Crowell picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jim Unknown took the loss. Ricardo Castro, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
