Mets Lose as Nationals Stage Late Rally
The Washington (GCL) Nationals and New York N (GCL) Mets played an exciting game.

The New York N (GCL) Mets got a sterling performance from pitcher Alan Bowman, but the Washington (GCL) Nationals still prevailed, 4-2. Bowman threw 5.0 innings allowing 1 run. Chris Tucker closed the game out for Washington (GCL), earning his 4th save.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Nick Stielow? The 20-year old center fielder Stielow stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put Washington (GCL) up, 4-2. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Nationals manager Aaron Curry. "This one was nice to get."

The second-place Nationals now have a record of 13-19.
