Cardinals Handle Twins, Grab 4-3 Win
The St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals picked up a win at Roger Dean Stadium, knocking off the Minnesota (GCL) Twins, 4-3. On the mound for St. Louis (GCL) was left-hander Ray Blasetti. He played a key role in the triumph. At 23-8, the Cardinals find themselves in first place in the East Division.

The Twins had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Cardinals going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old third baseman Willy Martinez came to the plate. Martinez hit a run-scoring double on a 2-2 changeup from Minnesota (GCL) hurler Luis Rodriguez. It was Martinez's 2nd double of the year.

"Ray definitely kept his composure, kept making pitches," said St. Louis (GCL) manager Jayden Dunbar.
