Boston (GCL) Red Sox starter Josh Milliken pitched a strong game against the Houston (GCL) Astros at JetBlue Park, leading the Red Sox to victory, 3-2. Rich Ruppert picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Riley Fitzmaurice suffered the loss. Manny Esparza earned the save for Boston (GCL), his 1st.

Boston (GCL) took a 3-2 lead on Chris Miller's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Miller hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Houston (GCL) pitcher Cao-Ky Tran-Thanh visibly frustrated.
