The New York N (GCL) Mets wasted an inspired, 7-inning effort from starter Robby Grewe, falling, 2-1, to the Colorado (GCL) Rockies at Mosquitos Ballpark. Colorado (GCL) reliever Jason Theriault picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Alex Cuellar was tagged with the loss. The Rockies win now puts them at 17-14.

Joey Carozza was the walk-off hero for Colorado (GCL). With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rockies second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

Carozza attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
