Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Érico Harper, who is tied for 10th in the GCL in RBI with 23, the Houston (GCL) Astros defeated the Boston (GCL) Red Sox, 6-2. Houston (GCL) reliever Jose Miranda was the winner. His record is now 3-3. Vicente Gonzales took the loss. At 16-19, the Astros claim second place in the Northeast Division.

With the game tied, 2-2, in the bottom of the seventh, Harper had a key at-bat for Houston (GCL). With runners on 1st and 3rd, Harper hit a run-scoring single off Vicente Gonzales, making the score 3-2, Astros.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Houston (GCL) skipper Edgardo Avalos.
