Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Las Vegas (GCL) Hustle take on the Colorado (GCL) Rockies.

Las Vegas (GCL) starter Eric Nieto pitched well against the Colorado (GCL) Rockies at Roger Dean Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. The winning pitcher was Nieto, now 3-0. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8.

Jeremy Overman had a big run-scoring triple for the Hustle in the bottom of the third inning. With Las Vegas (GCL) leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Clint Geary and swatted a triple to right. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hustle ahead, 2-0.

"Winning never gets old," said Overman.

Las Vegas (GCL) is in first place in the East Division with a record of 28-7.
