The Las Vegas (GCL) Hustle and Colorado (GCL) Rockies provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Colorado (GCL) Rockies spoiled a good performance by Las Vegas (GCL) catcher Andy Rodriguez, bumping off Las Vegas (GCL), 7-6, at Roger Dean Stadium. Rodriguez went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The winner was Mario Jiminez, who threw 79 pitches over 6 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 8 hits. Elliott Pilone got credit for the save for Colorado (GCL). It was his 1st of the year.

In the top of the 6th, pinch hitter Scott Doyle gave Colorado (GCL) the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Rockies had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out single off Las Vegas (GCL) pitcher Luis Hurtado changed that -- and Colorado (GCL) went on to win.
