Slumping Red Sox Lose 7th Straight
|
In a well-pitched game between the Minnesota (GCL) Twins and the Boston (GCL) Red Sox, pitcher Dan Wojcik was fantastic. The Minnesota (GCL) left-hander helped his team secure the win, 3-0. The last-place Twins lifted their record to 9-26.
Minnesota (GCL) got a knockout punch from Salomão Whittingham. The pinch hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"We're going through a bad spell," said Boston (GCL) manager Edwin Santos.
