Pirates Come Up Short at Colorado (GCL), 2-1
The Colorado (GCL) Rockies eked out a 2-1 win versus the Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates at Mosquitos Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Tony Cotto. He was terrific. Colorado (GCL) reliever Tony Cotto got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Dave Trainor was tagged with the loss. The Rockies saw their record improve to 21-18.

Had Mario Garcia not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Garcia hit a 2-run single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Rockies.

"Helping the team win is what it's all about," said Garcia.
