Gully Powers Cardinals Offense
The umbrellas came out during the St. Louis (GCL)-New York N (GCL) contest at Roger Dean Stadium.

Led by Joel Gully, the St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals defeated the New York N (GCL) Mets, 7-2. Gully, a native of Redford Township, Michigan, went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Cardinals. David Herrera was the winner. He's now 3-2. The loser was 18-year old right-handed pitcher Ernesto Balderas.

The Cardinals got a big at-bat from third baseman Kyle Diaz. For the game, Diaz was 2-3 with 2 doubles and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season gave St. Louis (GCL) a 2-1 lead.

Diaz was taciturn after the game. "A win's a win," he said.

St. Louis (GCL), now 19-20, holds down second place in the East Division.
