Blue Jays Need Extra Innings to Top Pirates, 7-4
Toronto (GCL) went toe-to-toe with Pittsburgh (GCL) before a winner was decided.

The Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays defeated the Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates in 12 innings, 7-4, in part because of designated hitter Ty Guppy. Guppy went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Blue Jays. With the win, Toronto (GCL) goes to 10-33, while the Pirates fall to 19-23.

Guppy had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a first pitch sinker from Linus Evans, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Blue Jays a 7-4 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Guppy.
