Casillas goes 3-for-4 to Fuel Yard Goats Offense
The Hartford Yard Goats knocked off the Akron RubberDucks, 7-3, at New Britain Stadium. Mauricio Casillas was a big reason Hartford won. The center fielder went 3-4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 3 and driving in 4. Takumu Gambill claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 4.2 innings. His record stands at 1-0. Hartford goes to 3-0.

With Hartford leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Casillas hit a fastball from Dustin Cox for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Yard Goats ahead, 4-0.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Casillas told the Hartford Observer.
