Starting pitcher Alex Rosales gave the Bowie Baysox a rock-solid effort. The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native helped his team defeat the Trenton Thunder, 3-1, at Arm & Hammer Park. Bobby Richman snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Glenn Roehl suffered the loss. Josh Cox closed it out for his 1st save.

Bowie needed the clutch hitting of Ryan Binkley to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Baysox on top, 2-1. For the game, Binkley had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We're all smiles after that win," Binkley told the Bowie Bulletin.

Now 18-3, the 2109 Baysox have been sensational so far.
