A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Baltimore (GCL) Orioles and New York N (GCL) Mets.

The Baltimore (GCL) Orioles topped the New York N (GCL) Mets, 7-2, in Gulf Coast Rookie League action at Ensigns Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Baltimore (GCL) pitcher Josh Eliason. Eliason picked up the win for Baltimore (GCL), going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1.

Baltimore (GCL) used the timely hitting of Seth Morris to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Orioles on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Baltimore (GCL) manager Moises Sanchez. "That's what Josh is right now."

The Orioles saw their win-loss record go to 30-15. At the same time, the Mets fell to 24-22.
