Castro Tames Pirates, 3-1
|
The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.
In a low-scoring contest, St. Louis (GCL) pitcher Tony Castro was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-1 win. At 26-22, the Cardinals are currently first in the East Division.
Castro earned the win to move to 3-3. In his complete game performance, he allowed 1 run on 2 hits, striking out 5 and walking 3.
"Tony was hitting his spots," said St. Louis (GCL) manager Jayden Dunbar. "It's hard to pitch better than that."
