Twins Win in Extras, 7-3
The Minnesota (GCL) Twins clipped the Colorado (GCL) Rockies, 7-3, in 10 innings at Mosquitos Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Minnesota (GCL) pitcher and Quisqueya, Dominican Republic, native Daniel Madrid. Minnesota (GCL) reliever Pablo Herrera picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Ivan de Lira was tagged with the loss. The Twins saw their win-loss record go to 24-23. At the same time, the Rockies fell to 17-28.

Minnesota (GCL) used a timely hit from Alvin Ellis to get the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Twins ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Ellis.
