Pirates Drop Blue Jays, 4-0
|
Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates starter Alex Montanez hurled his team past the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays, 4-0. The third-place Pirates now have a record of 24-25.
Pittsburgh (GCL) used the hitting of Dustin Sheppard to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Pirates on top, 4-0. For the game, Sheppard had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Manny Miranda, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
