The Minnesota (GCL) Twins finished off the St. Louis (GCL) Cardinals, 13-0. Much of the credit belonged to right fielder Scott Wilhelm. Wilhelm was 2-2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Twins. The victory gives the Twins a record of 27-22.

With Minnesota (GCL) leading 7-0 in the top of the fifth, Wilhelm came up to bat against St. Louis (GCL) pitcher Paul McIlwain. Wilhelm hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Twins on top, 10-0.
