Astros in Free Fall, Lose 8th Straight
Joey Hill did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to spare the Houston (GCL) Astros an extra-inning, 6-4 loss to the Philadelphia (GCL) Phillies at Ballpark of Belvedere. Hill went 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles. Philadelphia (GCL) reliever Victor Perez snagged the win, upping his record to 3-1. Jose Castro shouldered the loss. The Astros, at 14-36, have lost 8 in a row.

Andrew Adams went 1-5 with a triple for Philadelphia (GCL). With no one out and the game tied in the top of the 11th inning, Adams, who is tied for 9th in the GCL in triples with 4, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Houston (GCL) hurler Jose Castro, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Phillies a 5-4 lead.
