The Detroit (GCL) Tigers beat the Minnesota (GCL) Twins, 8-4. Detroit (GCL) pitcher and Houston, Texas, native Dan Brown led the way. The second-place Tigers have won 6 in a row.

David Salmeron had a big solo home run for the Tigers in the top of the first inning. With Detroit (GCL) leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Marcos Miranda and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Tigers on top, 2-0.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Detroit (GCL) manager Jesse Rogerson.
