Another game, another loss for the struggling Boston (GCL) Red Sox.

Pittsburgh (GCL) pitcher Alex Daniel did his part in helping his team beat the Boston (GCL) Red Sox, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Daniel yielded 1 run over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 10. His record improves to 5-3. Melvin Garcia earned save number 2 this season.

Early in the game, shortstop Alex Vargas had a 2-run home run for Pittsburgh (GCL). It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Pirates on top, 2-0.
