Conditions were not ideal but Tampa Bay (GCL) and Las Vegas (GCL) were able to put their game in the books.

Sal Saldivar, who is tied for 3rd in the GCL in wins with 5, was terrific for the Tampa Bay (GCL) Rays in his team's 7-0 triumph over the Las Vegas (GCL) Hustle. His performance earned Saldivar rave reviews. The last-place Hustle now sit at 10-47.

Gary Chavez had a big bases-clearing double for the Rays in the bottom of the seventh inning. With Tampa Bay (GCL) leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Mike Garcia and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rays ahead, 6-0.

"Sal did a nice job," said Rays manager Chris Schoch.
