Lance Zangrilli, who is tied for 7th in the GCL in innings pitched with 69.1, was locked in. The right-hander led the Tampa Bay (GCL) Rays to a 4-1 win against the New York N (GCL) Mets at Louisville Grounds. Bobby Munoz got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. Mike Chase locked down his 1st save.

Tampa Bay (GCL) took a 4-1 lead on Danny Carrasquillo's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Carrasquillo hit in the bottom of the eighth, left New York N (GCL) pitcher Jorge Escobedo visibly frustrated.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Carrasquillo.

The victory gives Tampa Bay (GCL) a record of 43-13.
