Nationals Suffer 4-3 Setback
The Washington (GCL) Nationals could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Mike Carr into a win. Instead, the Minnesota (GCL) Twins prevailed, 4-3. Carr threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. Minnesota (GCL) reliever Felix Luis picked up the win, raising his record to 3-4. Alex Ruiz was tagged with the loss. Today's win puts Minnesota (GCL) at 27-28, while Washington (GCL) falls to 25-31.

Gregory Schwartz was the walk-off hero for Minnesota (GCL). With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Twins center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It was bedlam at the end," Schwartz said.
