Pat Pepka was a major contributor to the 7-0 Houston (GCL) win over Colorado (GCL). The Astros designated hitter went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Jaden Houston earned the save for Houston (GCL). Houston (GCL), now 37-19, holds down second place in the Northeast Division.

It could have been a different outcome for Houston (GCL), had it not been for Bruce Ruzicka, the 21-year old shortstop . Ruzicka contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Houston (GCL) up, 3-0.

"It's not about individual awards," Pepka told a Houston (GCL) Chronicle reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
