Yankees Pick Up 8-6 Win
The New York A (GCL) Yankees beat the Boston (GCL) Red Sox, 8-6, at Timberwolves Stadium. Pat Dennis went 2 for 4 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The 21-year old third baseman was a menace to Boston (GCL) all day. New York A (GCL) pitcher Jim Unknown got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Francisco Pinedo got the loss. At 20-38, the Yankees find themselves in last place in the Northeast Division.

New York A (GCL) took the lead, 8-6, on Edgar Centeio's 2nd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Centeio hit in the bottom of the seventh, made Boston (GCL) pitcher Francisco Pinedo wince.

Yankees manager David Messer wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
