Tigers Lose as Pirates Stage Late Rally
Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates starter August Kirchmann pitched his team past the Detroit (GCL) Tigers in 10 innings, 3-2. The Pirates are now 26-32, while the Tigers fall to 28-31.

The Pirates relied on shortstop Greg Ambriz for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"I can't say enough about August," said Pittsburgh (GCL) manager Vinny Romo. "He stepped up when we needed him."
