Astros Get Clutch Win Versus Philadelphia (GCL)
The Houston (GCL) Astros overcame a big game from Philadelphia (GCL) shortstop Shawn Sells to pick up a win at Bright House Field. The final score was 4-3, Houston (GCL), in 10 innings. Sells went 2 for 2 with 2 singles. The win was credited to 23-year old right-handed pitcher Bob Collins in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Wally Medland took the loss. The last-place Astros now have a win-loss record of 17-42.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the tenth, with the game tied, Tony Zeballos was at the plate when Houston (GCL) scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Astros to go in front, 4-3.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Houston (GCL) manager Josh Morgan.
