Hustle Collect 9-7 Win Versus Houston (GCL)
Getting a good performance from center fielder Scott McMinn, the Las Vegas (GCL) Hustle defeated the Houston (GCL) Astros, 9-7. McMinn went 2-5 with a home run and a triple, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once for the Hustle. Eric Nieto was the winner. He's now 4-1. The loser was 18-year old right-handed pitcher Hugo Jimenez. Gregg Porowski, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.

With Las Vegas (GCL) leading 5-4 in the top of the ninth, McMinn came up to bat against Houston (GCL) pitcher Rich Liverman. McMinn hit a fastball to left for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Hustle on top, 9-4.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said McMinn.

The first-place Hustle improved to 44-15.
