Rockies Cut Down Pirates, 5-1

Colorado (GCL) pitcher Brock Ott did his part in helping his team beat the Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates, 5-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Ott got the win, improving to 4-2. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 5 innings. He allowed no runs. The Rockies now have a record of 31-28.
Curt Lowe, who is tied for 6th in the GCL in stolen bases with 15, came through for Colorado (GCL) with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. The shortstop went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 runs batted in.
"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Ott.
