Los Angeles A (AZL) starter Erik Petz put a stranglehold on the San Francisco (AZL) offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Angels to a 2-1 win. The defeat makes San Francisco (AZL) 28-23.

The Angels got a big at-bat from designated hitter Bobby Canales. For the game, Canales went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Los Angeles A (AZL) a 2-1 lead.
