The Chicago N (AZL) Cubs topped the Cleveland (AZL) Guardians, 2-0, in Arizona Rookie League action at Indians Developmental Complex. The standout performance belonged to Chicago N (AZL) pitcher and Havana, Cuba, native Eduardo Gutierrez. Bill Chavez collected save number 2. The third-place Cubs now sit at 29-25.

Chicago N (AZL) won the game in part because of Bob Perera. The first baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Cubs ahead, 2-0. For the game, Perera had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.
