The skies opened up and the rain fell at Champion Stadium.

Jose Diaz never let Atlanta (GCL) get something going. The Houston (GCL) left-hander commanded his splitter in pitching the Astros to a 5-1 win. Jose Diaz picked up the win in relief for Houston (GCL), while Chad McCollum took the loss.

Houston (GCL) used a clutch at-bat from Raul Romero to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Astros ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Diaz. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."

The Astros improved to a lofty 49-11.
